Where to Buy FiveM Scripts Safely (2026): a 9-Point Checklist

Buy FiveM scripts without scams or leaks: developer stores vs Tebex vs resellers, red flags, a 9-point checklist and what large servers must ask.

Search for "buy FiveM scripts" and you get developer stores, Tebex shops, reseller groups and leaked files labelled as genuine, all mixed together. This post separates the channels and their risks, lists what to check before paying, and covers what a high-population server has to ask on top. (Written by the team behind the X3D FiveM script store, so to be upfront: we are one of the stores being compared.)

Where you can buy FiveM scripts

Channel Upside Risk
The developer's own store Updates and support straight from the author, no middleman markup, often a trial You have to verify the store yourself (points 1–2)
Tebex The commerce platform Cfx.re uses for Asset Escrow; encrypted scripts are bound to the buyer's Cfx.re account; standard checkout Shop quality varies; escrowed files cannot be edited beyond config; foreign-currency payment
Facebook / Discord resellers Cheap and easy to find Leaks or invalid licenses that get revoked later, no updates, nobody responsible when it breaks
"Free" copies of paid scripts No cost Many leaks carry backdoors that let outsiders run commands on your server

If you want free scripts, pick ones the developer chose to give away, such as free FiveM scripts from the developer, not paid files that were leaked.

Red flags for leaks and untrustworthy sellers

  • Far cheaper than the developer's store, or "100 premium scripts" bundles for one price
  • Claims of "full source" for scripts that are normally sold escrowed
  • No license, no account with purchase history, files sent only through chat
  • Asks you to install an extra "loader", or the code calls PerformHttpRequest to an unknown domain
  • No support channel, no version history, nobody answers questions

How to inspect a file yourself: how to check a FiveM script is safe and not pirated

A 9-point checklist before you pay

1. Is the store a real, identifiable business?

Its own website rather than a group post, a Discord with real members and a support channel, a named developer, a portfolio and terms you can read before buying. Resellers rarely have all of these.

2. Developer or reseller?

Buying from the developer means updates, bug fixes and support. A reseller's copy may be a leak or an invalid license that gets revoked later.

3. Is there a server-bound license?

Genuinely licensed scripts come with a license key bound to your server: you know the file is genuine, the developer can disable leaked keys, and you can see your keys in your account. Ask how moving servers works; at X3D you change the bound server IP yourself in your account after a cooldown.

4. Can you try before you buy?

A store that trusts its product lets you test first, to confirm it works with your framework and other scripts. Every paid X3D script has a free 7-day trial, no payment up front.

5. Does it really work with your framework and inventory?

Ask exactly which of ESX Legacy, QBCore, Qbox or standalone it supports and which inventory it integrates with. Do not accept "works with every framework" without adapter files or docs to back it (ESX or QBCore).

6. How much can you change?

Escrowed scripts only let you edit config files; open-source scripts can be changed completely but usually forbid resale. If your team has a developer and needs heavy changes, open source is worth more.

7. Transparent payment and a written refund policy

Order numbers and a purchase history in your account, a clear statement of how payment is verified, and refund terms written down before you pay. At X3D you top up points by bank transfer and attach the slip; staff verify it and the points land in your wallet, with a reference for every transaction in your account. International customers contact the team on Discord (USDT accepted). Unlocked digital products are non-refundable unless the defect is on the store's side, per the terms of service.

8. What you should get after paying

A download link for the latest version and future versions, a license key for your server, an install guide with editable config, and a support channel for problems.

9. Is it kept up to date?

FiveM ships new artifacts and game builds often; unmaintained scripts break within months. Look for a version history (changelog) and update announcements in the store's Discord.

High-population servers (1,000+ players): ask more

A script that is smooth at 64 players can stall a server at two thousand. Before buying a core system, ask the store these four things:

  • Does it loop over every player every tick on the server? Ask for profiler output from a busy live server, or measure it yourself during the trial
  • Is every event validated server-side and rate-limited? At this scale 1% modified clients is dozens of people; a script that trusts client values becomes a dupe hole immediately
  • How does it save? SQL on every action, or in rounds
  • How fast is support when something breaks with a thousand players online

FAQ

Is buying on Tebex a good idea? Yes, if it is the actual developer's Tebex shop. Escrow protects against leaks, at the cost of not being able to edit the locked code. Check the shop with the same checklist as any other store.

I paid and got nothing, what now? Keep the slip and order number and report it in the store's support channel. A good store shows order status in your account; a store with no account that only sends files through chat was high-risk from the start.

Can I move servers after buying? That depends on each store's license system. At X3D you change the IP bound to your key yourself in your account after a cooldown.

Can I resell a script I bought? No. Almost every store, X3D included, forbids reselling or re-uploading under your own name.

Summary

Buy from the developer, with a server-bound license, a trial, real support for your framework, a documented payment and refund policy, and ongoing maintenance. With all of those, the chance of a bad purchase is very small.
